Error message: actionId cannot be blank

Full Error Message: “Error while creating new document. Error message: actionId cannot be blank”


Typically this error message means there is a permission issue with the user trying to generate the document. Steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Double check that all app users have access to Document Action and Document Requests object. Note that access to these objects is required if using automation. User should have at least Read access to these objects.
  2. Check that user has granted access to their Google Drive.
